This clock was found under a table at a flea market. As can be seen it started out in a very poor state.i don’t normally like to go over the top on restoring as I don’t like my clocks looking brand new. in this case I had no choice. It was a major strip down to the bare metal. 2 of the screws that hold the bezel had sheared off . resulting in having to drill the old screw threds out and re tapping
i had a paint made specially to match the original Gent colour.it also had a mechanical overhaul although the interior mechanism was almost perfect.just normal stripping the old oil off retention the spring and re oil . Also the original armour cable gland was removed as it was 3/4 inch and a new flex gland and 20mm to 3/4 adapter fitted. One thing to note it was originally wired with armoured cable. This cable is not suitable if the clock was used in a flame proof environment as it should be mineral insulated. Clock just awaits new glass other than that it works just as it should do Andy

I couldn’t find anything on the shelf near the correct colour. I was surprised the custom paint was not that expensive . I now have the glass so it’s just a matter of fitting it .
